  • Our enchanting 1-bedroom Bonni is ideal for couples and small families. It has a King-size bed with a luxury mattress and linens and is framed with a pretty round window for natural light. A truckle and cot bed are available too. 

  • An open plan living room with views out over the fields and the much-loved Bozedown Alpacas, snug seating, a little desk, Wi-Fi point and tv. 

  • The prettiest kitchen with a Smeg oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, and plenty of cookware, with the option to add a Riverford Recipe Box for those who like to stay in and cook.  

  • A Bonni Breakfast – there is an option to choose an English Breakfast which includes sausages, bacon, free-range eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and fresh orange juice or a Bonni Brunch which includes bread, smoked salmon, avocado, eggs, chilli flakes and fresh orange juice. 

  • A walk-in shower room with twin sinks, towels and dressing gowns

  • Utility area with washing machine, tumble dryer and drying rack

  • Dogs are welcome, and we just ask for a small fee of £35 per dog for additional cleaning 

  • Electric bikes, paddleboards and the Bonni Boat are also available for hire.

Nestled in the heart of Oxfordshire, and just a stone’s throw from the ridgeway and the river Thames, our Bonni B&B sits perfectly in amongst the natural beauty of the English countryside. Sitting snugly between the villages of Pangbourne and Goring-on-Thames and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Hill Bottom offers pretty landscapes with rolling hills, lush greenery, and peaceful riverbanks. It’s the perfect place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 

A scenic stroll along the river will take you to the nearby shops where you can stock up on local produce from the bakery, the grocer, the deli, and the cheese shop. There are plenty of cafes and pubs to visit too, and for car lovers Lamboghini
and Aston Martin.

Travel a little further and you can take in the wonder of the nearby towns of Wallingford, Oxford and Henley.

Our Bonni B&B is a happy base for walking, cycling, and boating. The Thames Path, a national trail, runs close to the village, offering beautiful walks along the river and the nearby Chiltern Hills means there are plenty of opportunities for exploring the countryside.  You can hire our Bonni boat for a relaxed day on the water, or for those feeling a little more adventurous and energetic we have paddleboards and electric bikes available too. 

To Goring-on-Thames

A 2.5mile walk from Hill Bottom to the historic village of Goring-on-Thames takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour (or a quick 15-minute cycle) depending on how energetic you feel.  It’s a riverside route with some undulations and inclines, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Quaint cafés and traditional pubs await you, perfect for enjoying a meal or a drink while soaking in the charming atmosphere.

To Pangbourne

Just 3 miles down the hill, the pretty village of Pangbourne is bustling with shops, cafes and restaurants.  Stop off on-route in the beautiful village of Whitchurch-on-Thames and say hello to the Bozedown Alpacas, visit the Modern Artists Gallery, the ancient St Mary’s Church and The Greyhound pub, a tavern with pop-up street food vendors offering a variety of food each night.   Whitchurch Bridge will take you over the river and into Pangbourne (with a toll fee for those travelling by car).

Our Bonni day boat is a fun way to enjoy the river and can be hired with a skipper, or without should you have a motorboat licence or experience on the water. For more information on riverside fun, places to stop, on-board picnics and everything boating give us a call.

We have 2 electric bikes available for hire should you choose to tackle longer distances and the hilly terrain without getting too out of breath. Just book them in along with your stay and we will make sure they are fully charged and ready to go. 

Whether you're exploring the river, practicing yoga, or just having a fun day out, paddleboarding is a great way to discover hidden spots and beautiful views across the water. Every outing is an adventure! We have 2 Red paddle boards

From M4, Junction 12 take 1st exit, following signs for A4 towards Theale and Newbury. Straight over the 2nd roundabout. At 3rd roundabout take 3rd exit following the A340 for Pangbourne. At Pangbourne turn left at the George Hotel over the toll bridge pay 60p into Whitchurch on Thames, Oxfordshire. Follow the road up towards Crays Pond, turning right at the small crossroads signposted Hill Bottom. Hill Bottom House is the 7th house on the right with a signposted 5 bar gate. We will be ready to welcome you to your Bonni B&B.
